The computer contains an Integrated Circuit (IC) chip that accepts all information from the keyboard and transmits it to the computer’s Operating System (OS). The computer’s CPU (Central Processing Unit) processes and decodes the encoded data from the keyboard and displays it on the monitor. Each letter on the keyboard is assigned a unique code.
